Parking tickets issued by the New Castle Police Department must be paid within 96 hours of issuance. Payments must be made by check or money order. Please include the ticket number on the check or money order. Checks should be made payable to:

Failure to pay a parking ticket within 96 hours will result in a notice sent to the residence of the registered owner. The registered owner will have 15 days to pay the fine. Failure to do so will result in a second notice and increased fine. Subsequent failure to pay the fine listed on the second notice will result in the issuance of a summons requiring the appearance of the registered owner at the Portsmouth District Court.
To appeal a parking ticket, you may complete the online parking ticket appeal form or complete the form in person at the New Castle Police Department. Appeals will be answered within 15 business days.
