The New Castle Police Department is committed to the promotion of fairness, compassion, and respect in our community. We are devoted to the prevention of crime, the protection of life and property, and the preservation of community values.

The New Castle Police Department shall maintain a strong partnership and mutual trust with the community. This is accomplished by maintaining well trained, highly skilled officers of strong moral character that respect community values. The Rockingham County Sheriff's Department is the dispatch center for the New Castle Police Department. They dispatch all emergency and non-emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
