The Town of New Castle is seeking a Park Manager for the Great Island Common. Seasonal position (32 hours per week, late May - mid September). Flexible hours* at beginning and end of season. Availability on weekends and holidays required.
Supervision of 6-8 summer staff, oversight of revenue collection, scheduling, parking enforcement, grounds maintenance, bathroom cleaning, trash pick up, exterior painting, field patron questions/issues, enforce park policies and regulations, additional responsibilities as required.
Financial and computer literacy, willingness to train staff of all ages/experience levels, previous management experience desirable, landscaping/grounds maintenance experience desirable, must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time in hot weather, ability to carry 30lbs, strong communication skills.
$15-$17/hr, salary dependent upon experience
The ideal candidate will be looking for multi-year summer employment.
* Flexible hours can be adjusted to accommodate a traditional academic schedule. Potential summer opportunity for a teacher with weekend availability in May, June, and September.
