Parade

New Castle's annual 4th of July take place on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. The Fourth of July Parade Committee has put together an extra special event in honor of our town's 400th anniversary. Please see below for the schedule of events:

10:00 Parade participants assemble by Maude H. Trefethen School

10:30 Parade begins. Participants march from MHT to the gazebo in the center of town

11:00 Ceremony at the gazebo includes presentation of colors by the United States Coast Guard, reading of the Declaration of Independence by Lady Liberty and a reenactment of the "Peppercorn Ceremony." (If you aren't familiar with the Peppercorn Ceremony, join us to find out more!)

11:30 Cookout and games, including tug of war, face painting and a dunk tank!
