Equipment Lending Policy

The library owns electronic equipment for the use of Library Patrons. This equipment was purchased through public and other funds to enhance the library's mission. A high standard of maintenance is in place to prolong the life of the equipment and minimize replacement expenditure.

The equipment currently available for use follows

  • Digital projector
  • Snowshoes

The library will allow use of this equipment under the following guidelines.

  1. Patrons wishing to use the equipment will hold a New Castle Public Library card, be over 18 years of age, and be a resident of New Castle.
  2. Patrons wishing to use the equipment will review the use of the equipment with the Librarian or whomever he/she delegates the task.
  3. Patrons wishing to use the equipment are expected to return all the accessories that accompany the equipment. There will be a fee charged to replace any such accessories. The equipment must be returned to the circulation desk (not placed in the drop off) so that the equipment can all be checked in.
  4. There will be a $10 charge for the use of the digital projector. There is a $2.00-per-day fine, with no maximum, if the item is returned late.
  5. The lending period on snowshoes is one week, with no renewal. There is a $2.00-per-day fine, with no maximum, if the item is returned late.
