Budget Committee

The Budget Committee consists of three (3) members (one position per year for a three-year term) who are elected by the town to serve along with an appointed Select Board and School Board member.

The purpose of the Budget Committee, according to RSA 32:1, is to assist voters in the prudent appropriation of public funds.   

A Note from the Budget Committee

The first meeting of the Budget Committee for fiscal year 2022 will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

The committee meets every Tuesday at 5:00pm from January 19, 2021 through April 6, 2021. Due to COVID-19, all meetings will be scheduled and conducted on Zoom. Information on how to join the meetings will be posted to the website prior to the meeting.

First on the agenda will be the School Budget. A Public Hearing for the School Budget will be held on February 9, 2021 and the Annual School District Meeting is on March 9, 2021.     

Once the School Budget Public Hearing is complete the committee will focus on the Town Budget. The month of March is devoted to working out the details to prepare for the Public Hearing for the Town Budget on April 6, 2021.  

The date of the Annual Town Meeting is May 11, 2021.

All meetings are public and townspeople are invited to attend.
