Directions

From the West

Take Route 101 East to Stratham, take the Route 108 North Exit. Go North (turn left at the light at the bottom of the ramp) onto Route 108 to the Stratham Circle and take Route 33 East. In Portsmouth, Route 33 goes over (overpass) Route I-95. Follow directions below from the (*).

From the South

Take Route I-95 North to Exit 3 (Route 33, Portsmouth). Go right off the exit and follow directions below from the (*).

From the North

Take Route I-95 South to Exit 5, Portsmouth Traffic Circle. Out of the Portsmouth Traffic Circle take Route 1 South. When you reach the lights with Market Basket on your right, turn left onto Elwyn Road and follow directions below from the (**).

* Continue on Route 33 approximately one mile. On your right you will see the Calvary Cemetery. Go to the stop light and take a right, at the corner of the cemetery, you are now on Peverly Hill Road. Follow Peverly Hill Road approximately one mile to Route 1. Market Basket will be on your right. Cross Route 1 (straight) onto Elwyn Road.

** Follow Elywn Road 1 1/4 miles to the end. You will see signs for Route 1A to Route 1B, New Castle and the Wentworth by The Sea Hotel. Turn left onto Sagamore Road (Route 1A) and follow the signs. Follow Sagamore Road (Route 1A) approximately 1/2 mile to Wentworth Road (Route 1B). On your right you will see the Bean Group realtors office. Turn right onto Wentworth Road (Route 1B).

Wentworth Road (Route 1B) takes you right to the Great Island Common. You will pass the Wentworth by The Sea Golf Course on your right. At one mile you will go over a small grid deck bridge crossing Little Harbor. The Wentworth Hotel will be on your right and you are now in New Castle. The Great Island Common is approximately 3/4 of a mile ahead on the right. The entrance is just past the New Castle Public Library and there is a sign that reads Great Island Common on the right.
